You are right Bill this is exactly why I can’t quit drinking.
Thank you Colin
Thank you brother! Lord, help us to stop hanging on to the defects that we love so much…
Thank you Shane
Thank you so much Bill. You are completely right! I hadn’t experienced enough pain when I was first ‘forced’ to start going to AA. Once I was brought to the end of myself I had finally experienced great pain. I want it now and was grateful I knew where to turn. I’m willing now because the pain had become too much. I’m grateful for everything I’ve went through because it allows me to appreciate the small things in life. I’m willing to do whatever it takes!
What you said was true. For me, recovering took a lot of courage. At first I wasn’t sure I was willing to open myself up, let anyone close to me. I didn’t know I could have a better life because I had given up on my dreams. Then I realized that I could be the person I wanted to be and you taught me how to do just that. I really wanted my family to be proud of me so I had to become a person they could be proud of. I did whatever I had to in order to become that person. With the grace of God, the 12 steps and a good teacher I now have the life I can be proud of. Thank you Bill.
